Coaches

Head Coach Craig Robrock grew up in Prior Lake, MN joining his local club, Black Dog, at the age of 4. His greatest swimming achievement during age group swimming was placing second at central mega zones in the 100 free when he was ten. He swam his way to the University of Denver competing against fellow coach Connor McGinnis in 2016-2017 Summit League championshipsWhile swimming at the University of Denver, he swam IM/Distance. His main events were the 400IM, 200IM, and the 200Br. He was a finalist at the National invitational championship in the 400IM and the 100 IM.  He came to Jackson following his education in the hospitality industry. Jen Givens was born in Jackson, Wyoming and grew up in Daniel, Wyoming on a ranch.  She went to Pinedale schools and swam competitively in all years of middle school. During high school, she swam her freshman year and competed in high school rodeo all four years.  In 1996, her senior year of high school, she became the National High School Rodeo Champion in Girls Cutting. After high school, Jen went to UNLV and the University of Wyoming and majored in Business, graduating from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jen has worked with kids of all ages in many aspects (church school, high school rodeo) and enjoys contributing to her community. Today, Jen works at Holland & Hart LLP and spends her free time with her family and riding her horses.  She is excited to coach the JH Stingrays, get back into the swimming community, and share her love of the sport with your swimmers.

Connor McGinnis is from Cape Girardeau, Missouri and started competitively swimming at the age of 5. He was an Ozark Division I Age Group Champion 10 & Under, 12 & Under, and 14 & Under. He has qualified and competed in finals at Central Zones and Section 8 Sectionals, and competed at the Arena Grand Prix. Connor was a versatile USA swimmer posting AAA times in yards 100, 200 1000, 1650 Free, 100, 200 Bk, 100Fly, 100, 200, 400IM.  While he credits his multiple AAA times in short course to good turns, he also posted multiple AAA times in Long Course 100, 200, 400, 1500 Free, 200Back, 200IM and 400IM.

He has set High School Conference Records in MO in the 100 yard Back, and the Saxony Lutheran High School records in the 200 Free, 200 I.M., 100 Fly, 100 Free, 500 Free, and 100 Back. Connor was All-State and All-Conference all four years of high school.

Connor attended South Dakota State University and swam for the Division I program with scholarship and graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Parks and Recreation Management. Jeremy Macik is from Palm Harbor, FL, and has been living in Jackson since 2014. Jeremy joined our coaching staff in October 2018. Jeremy swam with the club swim team, Westlake Village Swim Team, Palm Harbor, FL, from the ages of 6-15. He swam all four years of high school for Palm Harbor University High School, Palm Harbor, FL, which is a premier swim team in the state of Florida. He competed in high school at regional and state meets primarily in butterfly, breaststroke, and relays. He was a swim instructor and lifeguard for a summer camp while in high school and did private swim lessons for children and adults during and after college. To quote Jeremy: “While you should certainly seek personal achievements, when I look back on my swimming career, I cherish the friendships and camaraderie that it created more than anything.”

Chrissy Stretton was born in Denver, Colorado.  She started swimming competitively when she was 8 years old, and has been teaching and coaching since she was 19.  As a student at Colorado State University, she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and minored in Commercial Recreation and Tourism.  Her education and personal experience developed her ability to teach, coach, and empathize with students faced with the challenge of learning a new skill.  In 1996, she merged her background in psychology with her competitive swimming experience and started Jackson Hole Swimming.  Her innovative teaching technique embraced a positive, progressive learning approach that makes learning how to swim simple and fast for individuals of all ages.  She is excited to work with the coaching staff to help our developing swimmers prepare for the competitive group.
